Avalon Correctional Services, Inc. Cheyenne Transitional Center

Avalon Correctional Services, Inc. (Avalon) is a community-based organization that owns and operates community corrections centers, including halfway houses, that provide reintegration services for non-violent incarcerated people serving the last 6 to 9 months of their sentences. They provide their clients with reentry programs designed to successfully return them to their communities. The Avalon facilities provide residential reentry services including residential work release and residential treatment programs. Clients leave the halfway houses with better life management skills, long-term employment, and permanent housing — all important factors that reduce their likelihood to re-offend upon release.

Avalon's Cheyenne Transitional Center (TC) is a 126-bed residential adult co-ed halfway house located in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The center provides job placement assistance and drug testing in addition to comprehensive residential services for offenders referred by the Wyoming Department of Corrections. The Cheyenne Transitional Center offers a number of programs for substance abuse, anger management, money management, parenting and life skills classes. Avalon also has residential halfway houses located in Texas, Wyoming, and Oklahoma.
