B Noble
B Noble is an organization inspired by the story of Bernard Noble, a victim of excessive sentencing laws in the American justice system. Noble received a mandatory prison sentence of thirteen years for possession of marijuana. Though he was released after seven years, B Noble uses his experience to illustrate the unnecessarily harsh sentencing laws connected to non-violent drug convictions. The organization helped produce Grass is Greener, a Netflix documentary which explores the movement to legalize marijuana and the inequity of drug sentencing in America. They also partner with Curaleaf to generate funds for community-based organizations that serve individuals reentering the community after serving time for nonviolent drug convictions. B Noble hopes to raise awareness about the systemic racism embedded in mandatory sentencing and provide concrete support for formerly incarcerated individuals across the nation. For more information, individuals are encouraged to contact B Noble using the contact form provided on the organization website.
