Care Tallahassee

Care Tallahassee is a faith-based organization that serves formerly incarcerated men during their reentry into the community. Their mission is to ensure that justice involved men have a dedicated space for healing and spiritual growth where they do not feel judged for their past actions. Their hope is that through programming and peer support, participants in the program will develop positive behaviors and habits that disrupt the cycle of recidivism. Care Tallahassee provides a number of services to men in the community including an onsite laundry facility, transportation for probation and medical appointments, assistance acquiring government documents, mentorship and referrals to community organizations that can assist individuals who face barriers to reintegration. All participants in the program are encouraged to participate in weekly spiritual gatherings and ministry. Staff and volunteers believe strongly in the power of Christian values to turn the lives of formerly incarcerated individuals into self-sufficient, productive and positive lives.
