Advocates for Change is a nonprofit organization that serves justice involved individuals in the greater Denver community. Their mission is to provide support for individuals with criminal convictions for sex related crimes, as well as offer a community for their loved ones. Staff and volunteers work as advocates to improve laws around sex related crimes and policies that affect individuals with criminal convictions. They also actively work to educate the public and create a community where formerly incarcerated individuals can live safely and without prejudice, as well as coordinate with community organizations to ensure that individuals have access to the support they need to overcome barriers affecting justice involved individuals. While Advocates for Change does not offer direct services, they are able to assist individuals during the reintegration process by referring them to partner organizations and locating viable and stable residential communities for individuals with criminal convictions for sex related crimes.
