Alabama Justice Ministries Network (AJMN)

Alabama Justice Ministries Network (AJMN) is a nonprofit, faith-based organization founded in 2001. They partner with many local churches with over 150 volunteers, including Prison Fellowship, Winner’s Circle, and Volunteers of America, Inc. Some of the programs offered by AJMN are the Jail Ministry program, The CPR Network, Mentoring Birmingham, and WorkTrain USA. The Jefferson County Jail Ministry is associated with many church congregations that have come together to effectively bring the ministry into the Jefferson County Jail and Bessemer County Jail. Additionally, the CPR Network is a re-entry program. This program involves a comprehensive case management approach. It is intended to assist offenders in acquiring the life skills needed to succeed in the community and become law-abiding citizens. There is also Mentoring Birmingham, where one mentor is matched with one offender, and WorkTrain serves as a transitional employment agency offering administrative services such as payroll, worker’s comp insurance, and filing federal taxes at no additional cost to the organization. Please contact them for more information on the services this organization provides.
