Alabama Re-Entry And Pre-Release Program

Alabama Re-Entry And Pre-Release Program

Description

The Alabama Re-Entry And Pre-Release Program offer information to individuals about life enrichment classes, community resources and reentry services that are available throughout the state. Its mission is to focus on forming community partnerships. By formalizing partnerships across Alabama, we are gaining resources to assist the returning inmate population with barriers. This is also beneficial in educating society about barriers that exist. In addition, this program provides an opportunity for individuals to gain basic living skills on how to transition back into the community after release from corrections successfully. Some services offered by the program are: access to immediate food, clothing and shelter, help with obtaining a driver's license or personal identification card, access to faith-based mentoring and support assistance in obtaining medical and dental care, access to substance abuse treatment and mental health services, help with job placement, and vocational training and career development. The reentry program also aims to provide transitional case management services. Transitional case management will include identifying an inmate's basic and technical needs and linking him with targeted resources before release. Please get in touch with them for more information on the services provided by this program.
