Arms Around You is a nonprofit organization that provides reentry support services to individuals returning to the community after incarceration. In an effort to reduce recidivism, they established a hands-on approach which helps guide their clients to redirect their lives with the goal of becoming productive contributing members of society. Arms Around You provides referrals and resources to formerly incarcerated individuals coming out of correctional facilities, the homeless community, victims of domestic violence and substance abuse and those dealing with transitional needs. Program services include, but are not limited to, education, therapy, money management courses, effective communication skill building, substance abuse treatment, mentorship, family reunification, legal assistance, and job placement, transitional housing, and much more. Additionally, they provide six different social enterprise businesses where trainees can receive real job training that they can use immediately upon graduation from their varied programs.
