Awakenings Reentry Program For Women
Awakenings Reentry Program for Women is a nonprofit that works to disrupt the cycle of recidivism and homelessness for California women. They actively strive to eliminate housing emergencies, chemical dependence and human trafficking through personal development and targeted support for justice-impacted women. Awakenings Reentry Program for Women provides safe, stable housing and life skills courses to empower women and promote the healing process. Participants receive round-the-clock supervision, treatment for chemical dependency and mental illness, job development, group and individual counseling, educational services and workshops that promote positive, productive conflict resolution. All individuals must commit to an 18-month residential program and apply for a state-sponsored scholarship, as well as commit to remaining sober throughout the program. Women can contact the program directly for assistance with intake and scholarship funding.
