Bonneville Community Correctional Center
Description
The Bonneville Community Correctional Center is a halfway house designed to help incarcerated people that may not have a place to go when they leave prison, need additional treatment as they transition back into the community or are struggling and are at risk of returning to jail or prison. The Utah Department of Corrections, through Adult Probation and Parole, operates five residential community correctional centers in Utah for incarcerated people who are on probation or who have recently been paroled from prison. The Bonneville Community Correctional Center opened in the 1980s and has a capacity for 74 male parolees. The staff works to stabilize and transition parolees to the community, including registered individuals and mentally-ill incarcerated people. The BRIDGES course was established in 2015 through the National Alliance for Mental Illness to provide mental health support to incarcerated individuals.
