Brother’s Keepers was established to meet the needs of the clients through a residential rehabilitation and support program. They provide rehabilitation and education support programs for people addicted to drugs and alcohol in the Manchester district of the City of Richmond. They organize weekly meetings drug and alcohol meetings for rehabilitation and promoting self-esteem, moral restoration, family life and reconciliation. BKM provides Licensed Substance Abuse counseling, outpatient medical referral services, social guidance and adult counseling in a professional, caring and compassionate environment. They receive referrals from employers, churches, community groups, neighbors, families, and the Richmond, Henrico, and Chesterfield Court systems. Their rehab program includes substance abuse education, family life education and support, health, nutrition, self-esteem, and daily hygiene education, employment assistance, and community service projects, speakers bureau. Upon successful completion of the 120-day programs, BKM provides a one-year after­care program for the participants and their families.
