The Catholic Charities of Acadiana (CCA) is a faith-based organization that provides various services and programs for people in need. CCA serves all people regardless of race, national origin, sex, age, disability or any other status protected by law. They offer food through their St. Joseph Diner. CCA also has three residential facilities - the St. Joseph Shelter for Men is a residential facility for men experiencing homelessness, the St. Michael Center for Veterans offers emergency housing to mail veterans and the Emily House serves the needs of families experiencing homelessness. These residential facilities also provides supportive services, access to mainstream services, education, employment and housing placement. In addition, CCA offers essential hygiene services, financial assistance, legal assistance and disaster response services through its Monsignor Sigur Center and the Stella Maris Center.
