Community Health
Description
Community Health is a medical treatment organization dedicated to ensuring that all individuals have access to proper healthcare. The mission of Community Health is to support individuals who lack access to essential health care due to income or insurance status. Their vision is that all members of the community are able to seek quality health care when the need arises. Community Health is one of the largest healthcare facilities staffed by volunteers in the United States. The facility offers primary and specialty care, pharmaceutical assistance, lab testing, mental health treatment and health education. All of these services are provided at no cost to low-income and uninsured adults in the Chicago area. Speciality services include cardiology, women's health, maintenance for chronic conditions and autoimmune disorders, and limited dental health care. Community Health physicians offer referrals for services not available on-site and assist individuals with securing support for pursuing specialized needs at affordable rates through community partners.
