Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency oversees various programs and initiatives designed to support justice involved individuals. During 2021, the agency supervised approximately 6700 individuals each day. Three out of four individuals who receive supervision through the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency complete the program successfully, increasing the likelihood that they will permanently return to the community. Reintegration is one of the stated goals of the agency, and they are committed to ensuring that individuals have access to vital resources during reentry. This includes programming related to housing needs, mental healthcare, wellness, job placement and education. By broadening their approach to supporting individuals during reentry, the agencies hopes to combat the most common underlying factors which lead to reincarceration. Ultimately, the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency has an expressed goal to protect the community while also reducing mass incarceration.
