Delaware Technical Community College Dental Health Center offers affordable dental care for low-income individuals in the community. Staff in the Dental Health Center are students in the dental hygiene program at Delaware Technical Community College and work at the center with supervising faculty to gain vital work experience as part of their degree program. Patients begin with a preliminary appointment and cleaning, during which hygienists determine if there is further need for dental care intervention. Qualifying individuals who require more intensive dental care, or who are experiencing a dental emergency, work with a certified dentist at the center to treat their issues. The financial assistance program is intended to assist individuals who would otherwise not be able to afford the dental care they require.
