Desert Manna
Description
Desert Manna is a community based organization offering wraparound services to High Desert residents in the San Bernardino County. Their vision is a community that provides residents with safe, affordable housing options and enough healthy food options in their homes to feed their families adequately. Desert Manna is most focused on food security, which they address with a variety of services that include access to fresh produce, a fully operational food pantry and public gatherings with prepared food. However, staff and volunteers understand that some underlying factors perpetuate food insecurity and they work hard to address those barriers. Desert Manna offers emergency shelter services to individuals experiencing housing crisis, as well as temporary assistance with electricity costs to ensure that community members maintain access to basic necessities in their homes. Some individuals may qualify for targeted case management to address larger issues that work against independent living. For more information about specific services or to request support, individuals should contact the organization directly.
