Detroit At Work
Description
Detroit at Work is a community based organization that connects job seekers with potential employers in the community. The organization offers scholarships to qualifying individuals who are committed to improving their lives through concrete educational and vocational pursuits. Participants may be eligible for funding to help them learn a trade and reach certification, to pursue a high school diploma or GED, or to participate in job training programs. Returning citizens also have the opportunity to receive scholarship funding for any job development that helps them during the reintegration process, as well as assistance with expunging criminal records. Detroit at Work has specialized programming for young people who are looking to enter the workforce, including educational assistance, internship and employment placement, and career advising.
