Emory University: Georgia Division of Reentry Services

The Georgia Division of Reentry Services is a division of the Georgia Department of Community Supervision tasked with supporting individuals during reentry. Their mission is to ensure public safety and lower crime rates in the community through a network of services and supports that reduce the likelihood of re-offense and re-incarceration as individuals transition back into the community. They believe that the key to a thriving community is to ensure that all individuals have access to the supports they require to live healthy, independent lives. Participants attend weekly in person and remote mentoring workshops that focus on developing life skills, planning for the future, reentering the workforce and improving behaviors that put them at risk for re-offense. Additionally, justice involved individuals and their loved ones have access to holistic services from residential programs to treatment centers and healthcare facilities.
