Empowering Men and Women on the Move for Re-Entry, Inc.
Description
Empowering Men and Women on the Move for Re-Entry is a community based organization serving the most vulnerable populations. They are a nonprofit organization who believes strongly in providing essential services to underrepresented men and women in the greater Atlanta area. Their mission is to provide residential services for formerly incarcerated individuals returning to the community, as well as housing for individuals experiencing homelessness. At this time, housing services are only available to men, as the women's program is indefinitely suspended. Empowering Men and Women on the Move for Re-Entry partners with the Department of Corrections and local contractors to offer stable, safe living spaces for men in need. The organization is committed to providing assistance for chemical dependence, HIV management, mental health treatment and other barriers that perpetuate housing emergencies. They also assist with obtaining government identification, job development and placement, and entry into the construction sector of the workforce.
