Fairbanks Reentry Coalition
Description
The Fairbanks Reentry Coalition (FHHC) is an intentional group of caring people who work together to create a community where returning citizens have the keys to successfully achieving their personal goals. The coalition, now funded by the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority, has been organizing community agencies to engage in collaborative reentry services and relationships. In 2013, the FHHC identified a need to address the hardships and barriers those returning to the community from incarceration faced. Since its initial stages, the Fairbanks Reentry Coalition has become a collaboration of public agencies, nonprofit organizations, citizens, businesses, faith-based partners and community stakeholders. They are committed to reducing recidivism among reentrants in the city of Fairbanks, the Fairbanks North Star Borough, and surrounding areas. The Fairbanks Reentry Coalition's mission is to create a community where returning citizens have the keys to successfully achieving their personal goals. Fairbanks offers case management, education, employment, health, housing, peer support, and transportation. For more information on the services provided by the FHHC, please contact them directly.
