Goodwill Industries of Central North Carolina (Triad Goodwill) is a nonprofit organization serving the community that believes everyone should have access to meaningful work regardless of circumstance. Its mission is to assist individuals in obtaining the skills needed for today's employment market through workforce development programs and enriching communities. The group also offers free workshops, digital skills courses, specialized job training, and an intense program that teaches people with criminal histories how to re-enter the workforce to avoid recidivism. In addition, the organization dedicates 85% of every dollar it earns to assisting residents in removing obstacles to obtaining gainful, long-term employment. Triad Goodwill also keeps things green. Its purpose is to keep as many products as possible out of local landfills by selling them in its retail outlets or online. Triad Goodwill also collaborates with expert electronic trash recyclers to ensure that discarded devices do not dispose of in a waste.
