Haven House Juneau
Description
Haven House Juneau is a faith based organization that provides structured and supportive housing opportunities to foster healing and self-sufficiency in women coming home after incarceration. Haven House Juneau was founded in March 2015 after Alaska’s Five Year Prison Reentry Strategic Plan concluded that without a stable residence, newly released individuals struggled immensely to reconnect positively in their communities. Knowing this, Haven House Juneau is committed to providing transitional housing for up to seven individuals newly released from prison. Participants are required to be active members of the household, submit to random drug tests, maintain a tidy home, attend weekly progress meetings, and follow all house rules. In addition to their housing program, they also run a weekly support group for all justice impacted women, whether or not they are currently or have ever been a resident of Haven House Juneau. Contact Haven House Juneau directly for more information on their programs.
