Indiana Re-entry

Indiana Re-entry

Description

Indiana Re-Entry is a community based program committed to providing support services to individuals reintegrating into the community. Their mission is to offer a supportive environment for individuals of color with criminal convictions as they work to reenter the community. Staff and volunteers understand the compounding barriers that non-white individuals face after incarceration. All participants of the program receive individualized case management to determine the best path to financial independence and permanent reintegration. These services include job development courses, training and certification in specific fields, life skills training and mentorship services. Certain participants of the program may also qualify for limited financial assistance while securing housing, transportation or child care. Indiana Re-Entry divides its services into two categories to address the greatest barriers to reentry: housing and employment. Vocational services are designed to help individuals enter the workforce after incarceration, while housing services help ensure access to stable housing in the community. Individuals can apply for participation in the program through the website.
