Jefferson Comprehensive Care System, Inc. is a nonprofit cooperation proving comprehensive health services to low income Arkansawyer residents of Jefferson and Pulaski counties. Incorporated in 1972 at a single clinic in Pine Bluff, they've now expanded to seven total clinics in both urban and rural areas of Altheimer, College Station, Little Rock and Redfield. Their mission is to provide assessable, high quality primary healthcare and social services to all patients with their focus being vulnerable populations such as individuals suffering from homelessness and/or living with HIV/AIDS. Their team consists of social works, support staff, nurses, nurse practitioners and physicians all committed to providing these much needed healthcare services. The clinics accept both Medicaid and Medicare, and offer sliding scale fees for uninsured patients. Their services include primary care from pediatrics to geriatrics, family practice, immunizations, dental care, chronic disease, HIV/AIDS, breast care program, behavioral health, cancer screening, lab and x-ray, and a medication assistance program.
