Joy Care Center

Joy Care Center is a faith based nonprofit organization that offers support and guidance to justice involved individuals. The organization services community members in the greater McLean County area. Joy Care Center was founded in 1993 with a mission to support those released from prison or jail into the Bloomington-Normal community through a combination of spiritual guidance and life skills coaching with the hope that participants become self-sufficient members of their families, churches, and communities. In doing so, staff and volunteers at Joy Care Center hope to break the cycle of incarceration and improve the chances of successful reintegration for justice involved individuals. Re-Entry is a program maintained by Joy Care Center that provides safe, confidential services to assist participants with remaining sober, clean, optimistic and successful by offering job services, residential support, clothing and food pantries, limited transportation services, volunteer mentors, community accountability partners, targeted classes and support meetings, and safe spaces to congregate and address ongoing issues.
