Kairos Prison Ministry

Kairos Prison Ministry is a faith-based organization offering spiritual guidance and bible-based mentorship for justice-involved individuals. The organization works to assist incarcerated juveniles, women and men, as well as the families of incarcerated individuals through compassion and generosity of spirit. Ministry takes place both inside and outside correctional facilities. Participants begin with a weekend experience during which they are oriented to the Kairos Prison Ministry mission and model. From there, individuals involved with the program begin work toward personal accountability and small group collaboration. The goal of these sessions is to assist individuals with permanent changes to dangerous mindsets and to rebuild character from a source of positivity. Participants help share the guidance and impact of Kairos Prison Ministry with others in the facility. This community-building step works to reduce violence inside facilities and to prepare individuals for more successful reintegration when they are released back into their home communities.
