Kansas State Board of Indigents’ Defense Services’ Northeast Kansas Conflict Office

The Kansas State Board of Indigents' Defense Services has a regional office in the Northeast region of Kansas. The Northeast Kansas Conflict Office is located in Topeka, KS. If a conflict of interest will not permit the public defender to represent a defendant, the court appoints the Northeast Kansas Conflict's Office to represent defendants in conflict cases. This office also provides administrative supervision and support to the Public Defender, Contract Counsel, and Appointed Counsel Systems in Shawnee County.
