Lake County Sheriff’s Office Inmate Reentry
Lake County Sheriff’s Office Inmate Reentry is a division of the Lake County justice system tasked with supporting individuals as they reenter the community. Reentry specialists determine the needs of each individual upon arrival to the Lake County jail. They use this information to develop a plan for the successful exit from the corrections system and a productive reentry into the community. Reentry specialists also work in collaboration with social service organizations in the community that are dedicated to offering a continuum of care for incarcerated individuals facing substance abuse, mental health or physical challenges. They are able to schedule behavioral and educational programming focused on preparing incarcerated individuals for a constructive, self-sustaining future after incarceration. Reentry specialists further encourage incarcerated individuals to take part in educational, behavioral and spiritual programming and, if available, work release programs.
