L’Asurim

L'Asurim is a nonprofit organization that advocates for the rights and safety of incarcerated individuals and their communities. They work with incarcerated individuals to facilitate visits from family, loved ones and representatives. Volunteers also help raise money to send incarcerated individuals care packages and cover transportation costs for loved ones to visit the correctional facility. All care packages use Kosher food products and include religious reading materials. L'Asurim also curates a pen pal program for incarcerated individuals. In the community, they distribute information and hold events to address crime prevention while also advocating for the welfare of justice-impacted people inside and outside the correctional system.
