The Law Office of the Cook County Public Defender's Felony Trial Division is located in Chicago, IL. With a team of Public Defenders, Assistant Public Defenders, Investigators, Mitigation Specialists, Caseworkers and support staff, this office represents indigent defendants in 34 courtrooms that take in cases from the City of Chicago. These cases range in severity from drug possession to first-degree murder. The Mission of the Cook County Public Defender's Office is to protect the fundamental rights, liberties and dignity of each person whose case has been entrusted to them by providing the finest legal representation. They represent clients in 12 separate locations, including five suburban courthouses, Juvenile Court, Domestic Relations Court, Traffic Court and five branch court locations throughout Chicago. In addition, the Law Office of Cook County has various divisions organized by location, as in the suburban courthouses, while others are organized by practice type.
