Legal Aid of Cleveland is a nonprofit organization committed to ensuring equal access to justice in the civil court system. Attorneys with the organization offer services that include direct representation and legal advice at no cost to qualifying individuals in the Cleveland community. Their assistance can help individuals are facing housing insecurity, removing themselves from unsafe or unstable living conditions, unable to attain necessary medical services and those denied their constitutional rights. Legal Aid of Cleveland includes more than 3,000 volunteer attorneys that serve a variety of needs for their clients. These services may include representation during court proceedings or administrative hearings, individual consultations, advice and education regarding specific legal requirements and advocacy for low-income individuals. In order to receive services, all individuals must first participate in the intake process to determine financial status and identify the best route toward the resolution of civil matters. Legal Aid of Cleveland is not offering services for criminal matters at this time.
