Maricopa County Prosecution Integrity Program
Description
The Maricopa County Prosecution Integrity Program is a unit of the Maricopa County District Attorney's office. The purpose of the unit is to ensure that all individuals have access justice. They meet this goal by collaborating with defense organizations outside the District Attorney's office and prosecutors inside the office to investigate claims of prosecutorial misconduct, as well as claims of innocence and wrongful conviction. Though operating out of the District Attorney's office, the Prosecution Integrity Program is dedicated to conducting complete and unbiased investigations for all credible claims of innocence and wrongful conviction. These claims must be substantiated by credible evidence not previously presented in court, or demonstrate how new technologies can be used to process information entered into the record during the initial trial. Individuals must be currently incarcerated and meet eligibility parameters to have a case reviewed by the Maricopa County Prosecution Integrity Program. For more information or to file a claim, individuals may contact the organization directly or work through an attorney.
