Mecklenburg County Re-Entry Services is a program that aims to ease participants' seamless transitions while encouraging employment stability, service engagement, and continuing education. The program's objective is to prevent recidivism and criminal thinking among people in transition. The organization provides customers with complete assistance and stability in various areas such as employment, educational/vocational training, housing referrals, treatment referrals, physical health support, and pro-social support. Additionally, it intends to lower county expenses for those under post-release supervision after serving time in a state or federal prison or the Mecklenburg County Jail. Re-Entry Services program participation is entirely voluntary. Anyone who recently moved into the community within a year of being let out of a state prison or an incarcerated individual returning to Mecklenburg County.
