New Horizons Re-Entry Program

New Horizons Re-Entry Program is maintained by the Allegany County Health Department office of Behavioral Health Systems. This program offers comprehensive and coordinated treatment services to justice impacted individuals with serious mental health disorders in order to support them as they return to the community. Some participants receive treatment for both behavioral health needs and substance abuse disorder. All participants are assigned to a case manager who meets with individuals to determine each person's goals and needs. Once released from a correctional facility, the case manager helps individuals to access mental health and substance abuse services through community providers. They also refer their clients to medical services in the community, residential programs, vocational services and job placement, and any other services individuals may need to successfully reintegrate. Only those individuals with diagnosed mental illness are eligible for services through the program. For more information, contact the organization directly using the information on this page.
