New Yorkers United for Justice

New Yorkers United for Justice is a community advocacy organization that believes strongly in reforming New York justice laws. They identify themselves as one of the leading reform coalitions in New York. More than a dozen community partners and national organizations come together to advocate for stronger, more inclusive public policy, civil rights for all individuals and legal advocacy for those whose rights have been violated. The Second Chance Agenda for New York is a program designed to assist formerly incarcerated individuals during reentry into the community by ensuring equal access to educational and workforce opportunities, affordable housing services and support systems which disrupt the cycle of incarceration while maintaining communal safety. New Yorkers United for Justice actively educates the public about the need for justice reform and works with key legislators to move reform forward.
