Orange County Jail Ministry

Orange County Jail Ministry has served justice involved individuals in the community for more than forty years. Their mission is to make ministry more accessible to incarcerated individuals and to help inspire permanent life changes that reduce the likelihood of recidivism. All staff and volunteers are committed to providing mentorship and spiritual support for individuals while they serve out their sentences in correctional facilities. Currently, the organization combines the efforts of five chaplains, six assistance chaplains and over two hundred volunteers. One of the most important elements of support is the provision of bibles and other study materials, including reading glasses, to incarcerated individuals. Though the organization provides Christian bibles, they are nondenominational and work with individuals from a number of faiths.
