Pathways Vermont works to end homelessness and provide innovative mental health alternatives in Winooski, Vermont. Pathways Vermont transforms the lives of people by supporting self-directed roads to recovery and wellness in an atmosphere of dignity, respect, choice and hope. The Housing First Program provides independent housing and community-based support to individuals experiencing homelessness and who have a history of mental health and other life challenges. A Community Center is also offered for fun and engaging activities, interesting discussion circles, employment assistance and a space to relax, use computers or wi-fi, and feel at ease. The Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program provides short-term (3-6 month) support services to participants to help them obtain or retain stable housing. The SSVF program also offers temporary financial assistance for securing permanent housing, such as rent, security deposits, utility deposits, and other eligible expenses.
