Piedmont Triad Regional Council
The Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC) is a state-authorized voluntary association of urban and rural local governments. The PTRC provides management, planning and technical services. The Piedmont Triad Regional Council's Criminal Justice Department works with local governments to create, implement, and manage programs that serve local and state criminal justice systems. Additionally, upon request, the association offers technical help to member municipalities, governments, and organizations. Its RRS programs assist probation and post-release participants in reducing violations and new offenses. The program provides high-risk/high-need justice impacted individuals with evidence based counseling/treatment and related support services to assist them in sustaining a productive, crime-free life. Project Re-entry aims to improve the reintegration of formerly incarcerated individuals, minimize criminal justice expenses, and increase public safety. Pretrial Release Services provide non-incarcerated monitoring of defendants who cannot pay bond for release before trial or consider suitable for community supervision to prevent local jail overpopulation.
