POWER

POWER is a community based organization dedicated to supporting women who are in the early stages of recovery from substance abuse and/or mental health crisis. Their mission is to provide gender-responsive, trauma based support services to facilitate a permanent recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. Staff work with women to promote complete wellness, both physically and mentally, so that they are equipped for independent living and self sufficiency. Most recovery at POWER begins with POWER Line, an intake program available to all genders and ages. During the intake process, staff work to identify the level of services required to support each individual, as well as comprehensive diagnostics to determine any underlying conditions that may contribute to relapse. Some individuals may receive detoxification services if staff believe that they need medical support to reach sobriety. Additionally, POWER House operates as a halfway house for women for up to six months.
