Reentry Housing Alliance

Reentry Housing Alliance

Description

Reentry Housing Alliance (RHA) is a local network of community members, nonprofits, religious institutions, and reentry service providers. Their mission is to reintegrate individuals into their families and communities as law-abiding citizens and reengage them as parents, employees, and neighbors. The alliance focuses on educating property owners about barriers to reentry and promoting changes to housing regulations that would benefit those with criminal records. In addition, RHA raises public awareness, influences municipal legislation, and assists residents with records in finding housing opportunities. Their objective is to interrupt the cycle of recidivism and criminal justice participation across generations. The organization also campaigns for systemic improvements in social justice that remove barriers and obstacles to the complete restoration of citizens' rights. RHA also helps families impacted by incarceration. The Reentry Services program is entirely voluntary. The Promise Resource Network (PRN) provides free classes and peer support to people who have recently returned to the community.
