Reentry Programs at United States Probation and Pretrial Services, District of Utah
Description
The United States Probation and Pretrial Services of the District of Utah offer various reentry programs for individuals released from incarceration. During this transition, a probation officer supervises and monitors the person under supervision. Probation officers develop a supervision plan that addresses the individual's needs and satisfies the conditions of their release. One such reentry program is the Reentry Independence Through Sustainable Efforts (RISE) drug court program. In a structured, intensive treatment of evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy, participants in the RISE program address addictive behaviors, emotional distress, and criminal thinking. Similarly, the Tribal Community Reentry Court (TCRC) program helps to resolve reentry issues with culture-based methods and approaches to reintegrate persons under supervision to be successful in their tribal communities. Finally, the Utah Alternatives to Conviction Track (U-ACT) program engages participants with various programs designed to address the causes of their criminal conduct. They also attend regularly scheduled court proceedings that will include reports on their progress in the program. Contact the United States Probation and Pretrial Services directly for more information on their reentry programs.
