Returning Home
Description
Returning Home is a collaborative space for nonprofits to work together to meet the needs of Arkansas' vulnerable populations. Their mission is to assist incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals with reintegration, and to restore families affected by incarceration. Staff and volunteers hope to make reentry services and support systems more accessible and available to individuals. Their goal is to reduce recidivism and disrupt the cycle of incarceration through the combined efforts of various nonprofit organizations. Returning Home understands the barriers that individuals with criminal convictions face during reentry and focus their efforts on eliminating those barriers wherever possible. Services include food pantries, access to safe and stable living communities, job development, assistance obtaining government identification documents, chemical dependence treatment support and wellness services. Though Returning Home has a physical location, individuals must contact the program by phone or through the website to schedule an appointment. During this appointment, staff will discuss available services and eligibility requirements on an individualized basis.
