Description

The Scotland County Reentry Program aims to assist people released from prison, on probation or parole or with an unfavorable background. Their mission is to engage with clients and community partners to identify and minimize barriers to reintegration, eventually lowering recidivism and making communities safer. Scotland County Reentry Program provides services such as Basic Needs (Food, Clothing, Personal Hygiene), Child Care and Documentation (Birth Certificate, State ID, Certificate of Relief, etc.). In addition, it provides Education, Employment Services (WorkKeys, Resume building, job search, etc.), Housing Assistance, Life Skills, Mental Health Referral, Mentorship, Substance Abuse Referral, Transportation Assistance, and Vocational Skills to individuals involved in the criminal justice system. The program's goal is to help participants as they rebuild their lives. Criminal Justice Involvement is a requirement for the participant to be eligible for the program, incarcerated (county, state, or federal) now, in the past, or under community supervision (probation, post-release, or incarcerated).
