Second Chance California
Description
Second Chance California is a community organization dedicated to supporting individuals who face barriers to employment. Their mission is to disrupt the cycle of incarceration and assist individuals living in poverty by helping them to develop sustainable pathways to self-sufficiency. Services include job readiness training, sober-living housing, access to educational programs and other support services. Second Chance California works with both young people and adults who impacted by the justice system or living in extreme poverty. Adult programs include Reentry Court, which helps incarcerated individuals transition out of the corrections system and into the community, Job Readiness Training, which provides soft skills training and job placement, and Housing Services, which helps individuals find stable, structured environments that promote safe, sober lifestyles. Youth programs focus on educational and employment barriers related to youth incarceration or irregular access to public education. For more information on specific services, individuals should contact the program directly.
