Since its beginning, SHAR's mission has been to support vulnerable individuals and to empower lifestyle improvement. Regardless of whether the barriers an individual faced include chemical dependence, being a veteran or facing a housing emergency, recovering from mental or physical health issues, or any number of difficulties, SHAR continues to develop programs that serve all individuals and enhance their quality of life. Programs include treatment and detox centers for individuals with chemical dependence, residential services and women only communities, transitional housing and reentry support, educational opportunities and job development.
