Texas Care Prisoner Reentry Program
The Prisoner Reentry Program is an initiative led by the Texas Care Center—a medical care facility that provides Intensive Outpatient programs and Partial Hospitalization programs. The Prisoner Reentry Program is designed to assist incarcerated individuals with a successful transition to their community after they are released. They provide post-incarceration reentry services such as assisting in job placement, facilitating access to drug-free housing, and reducing substance use disorder symptoms. The main purpose of the reentry program is to make communities safer, assisting those returning from prison and jail in becoming productive, tax-paying citizens and saving taxpayer dollars by lowering the direct and collateral costs of incarceration. In addition, the program offers family support, PTSD treatment, groceries and hygiene, clothing, transportation, obtaining valid identification, skills development training, employment, countless mandated orientations and classes (AA, NA, sex-offender treatment program, etc.) and establishing new relationships. Contact the Texas Care Center directly to learn more about their reentry services.
