The Almond Connection is a nonprofit organization that connects individuals impacted by the justice system with the resources they need in order to thrive. This North Carolina based company serves residents of Guilford County that are 18 and over with felony convictions that are non-sexual in nature. Their mission is to return justice impacted individuals with felony convictions to productive lives through related services, and see the stigma of felony convictions lifted from the lives of men and women so that they can live as fruitful, restored citizens. In order to achieve this mission, The Almond Connection provides a two-year rehabilitative program that consists of three stages geared towards preparing individuals with access to services they need to improve self-sufficiency. These services include assessment and referrals to necessary resources, job training, employment, housing, healthcare, education, family engagement, counseling, mentoring, legal support, case management, and much more.
