The Restorative Justice Project Maine

The Restorative Justice Project Maine supports community-oriented justice and restorative efforts to repair harm for all. They believe that restorative justice includes a response to crime that focuses on renewal and safety, rather than incarceration. They also promote healing and accountability for survivors while supporting the restorative efforts of formerly incarcerated individuals. RJPMaine serves individuals in Waldo, Know, Lincoln, Sagadahoc and Hancock counties. Their programs include restorative schools that work to disrupt the introduction of youth to the justice system, court diversion programs designed to offer alternatives to incarceration, and reintegration programs that include residential services and individualized mentorship. Individuals can contact the program directly for more information or for select services.
