Transition Professionals is a nonprofit organization that assists formerly incarcerated individuals with the reintegration process in the Hackensack, New Jersey area. Transition Professionals is on a mission to reduce recidivism by empowering program participants to successfully transition from incarceration to society. Positive reentry outcomes are more likely because of their evidence based programs which are geared towards the overall improvement of the emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing of each client. Employment resources include assistance with earning professional certificates, resume writing and locating jobs. Drug and alcohol counseling and narcotics anonymous meetings are also available to individuals in need. Reentry services are provided to individuals in the Bergen County Jail including transition services, job preparation, group counseling and art therapy. Transition Professionals collaborates with various partner agencies to identify challenges that incarcerated clients will face upon release and works to get resources ready prior to release.
