Transitional Housing & Work Programs of Davidson County, Inc. (THWP)
The Transitional Housing & Work Programs of Davidson County Inc., or THWP, is a nonprofit organization that assists with housing and employment. The mission of THWP is to provide affordable housing and work to formerly incarcerated persons entering back into society. The program offers weekly activities and training to develop the skill sets and abilities of the residents. In addition, THWP offers housing, case management, and social networking services to the participants. Case management services include personal goal setting for each participant to create goals, develop resident skill sets and abilities through training and support, job search support and employment skills training and provide opportunities for building purpose. Additionally, THWP's fundraising event space—Venue 109, is set up to provide work training, jobs in catering, event planning, valet parking, and a host of other opportunities available as the business model scales in size.
