Turn90
Turn90, formerly known as Turning Leaf, is an organization which assists formerly incarcerated individuals during reentry into the community. The use an individualized model designed to meet the unique needs of men exiting the correctional system and prevent them from returning to prison. Staff understand the barriers that high-risk men face after incarceration and are dedicated to providing the support necessary to disrupt the cycle of recidivism. Graduates of Turn90 return and act as peer mentors for new participants to ensure that all participants feel understood and valued. Turn90 also offers one-on-one case management, assistance with housing, job development and placement, and transitional employment as individuals reacclimate to the community. Most participants come from families where at least one parent entered the system, and more than 85% of participants have been incarcerated more than once. Almost all participants first entered the system as juveniles. These men require support and compassion to ensure that they permanently break the cycle of incarceration.
